Initial idea presentation
Recently I have come up with five ideas for my short film. In my presentation I further developed three of these five ideas. I included lots of pictures which inspired me alongside some photographers and film directors. I have now presented to my class last week, and the feedback from my class was very positive with the majority of them really liking my second idea about a homeless man and a blind home owner. They also really liked my third idea however many of them said to develop it further and give a more clear cut narrative and plot. Taking feedback after presenting my initial idea about “A middle aged single man who seems to have no friends or family. He lives in London living a very basic life working in the city. He follows the same basic routine and does not seem to have a desire for anything more complex or challenging in his life. However one day he finds himself thinking about what could have been and how he has never lived life to the fullest finds himself fantasying about what could have been and is he wasting his life away?” I developed some of the same conventions form this idea and made them more impactiveful. This was done because people from my class liked the idea but they couldn’t see much of a narrative behind it and people were asking and saying it will start and end pretty much the same.
